Prateek Grover

I am a versatile engineering leader with 11+ years of experience building scalable systems across domains. Currently serving as a Technical Lead (Backend) @ PhonePe, one of India’s largest fintech platforms, I lead the development and architecture of peer-to-peer network systems handling payments, messaging, and social features for millions of users.

My technical expertise spans distributed databases (HBase, Aerospike, MariaDB), microservices architecture, and high-throughput payment systems. I bring a unique full-stack perspective from my mobile development background, enabling me to design backend systems with deep understanding of client-side requirements and performance constraints.

As a technical leader, I mentor team members, drive architectural decisions, and ensure system reliability at scale. I’m passionate about database internals, system optimisation, and staying current with emerging technologies through research papers and hands-on experimentation.
